...Ecosave is a new pocket-size, first-aid electronic tool: before treatment by a doctor or hospital center, it acts immediately against venomous viper bites, as well as insect bites (bees, wasps, hornets, etc.), arachnids (scorpions, spiders, etc.) and marine animals (weevils, jellyfish, stinging coral).
It emits pulses for a few microseconds: noticeable on par with an electrostatic discharge, they are able to relieve the pain caused by the sting or venomous bite. Ecosave can be part of the first-aid medical equipment that every hiker, naturalist, forestry or environmental worker, farmer, beekeeper and every hunting and fishing watchdog carries with them, with little encumbrance. Hunters, in particular, will fully appreciate its performance, which can also be extended to their dogs.
How does it work against adder bites?
Viper bites generally leave, on the affected part, two symmetrical puncture wounds caused by the venomous teeth. The electrodes of the device should be placed on these, proceeding with an initial discharge. Then pivoting an electrode placed on one of the two wounds, 3 to 7 discharges are applied in a circular direction. In the same manner, the operation is repeated on the second wound, so that the entire affected area is treated.
WARNING: Ecosave is useful against viper bites, whose venom acts locally as a hemocytotoxic agent.
Does it also act against insect bites, jellyfish, fish?
Hymenoptera and other animal bites can be very dangerous, and should not be underestimated. Before using Ecosave examine the affected area and remove the stinger, if it is stuck there, or any remnants of spines or tentacles. Place an electrode of the device on the sting and pivoting on it apply 3 to 7 discharges in a circular direction.
If the affected person is rescued quickly, electrical stimulation can reduce local symptoms-pain, burning, redness, swelling-as well as the consequences of the venom introduced under the skin within minutes.
In what cases does it NOT work?
The action of Ecosave is NOT effective against NEUROTOXIC venom that is transmitted through nerve fibers, such as that of cobra and other animals.
Poisons can be divided into two Mark categories: NEUROTOXIC and CYTOXIC.
The neurotoxic venom acts on the nervous system causing disruption of impulse transmission, with temporary numbness of the affected area and acute pain. If the venom is particularly aggressive and in quantities appropriate to the size of the victim, it can lead to paralysis and be lethal.
Hemotoxic venom, on the other hand, acts on red blood cells, triggering a chain reaction culminating, in severe cases, in hemocoagulation or internal bleeding.
The principle of electrical discharges on which Ecosave's operation is based is useful against hemotoxic poison AND NOT against neurotoxic poison.
WARNING
Ecosave is an emergency response tool. In more serious cases (people with allergies or viper bites) always and immediately contact a doctor or hospital center after treatment.
Treatment is not a substitute for medical intervention.
IMPORTANT: Treatment with Ecosave should be done as early as possible. The longer the time from bite or sting to treatment, progressively less useful Ecosave will be.
Warnings
- Ecosave can be used on adults and children six years of age and older.
- Do not use on individuals with an implanted electronic device or cardiac or epileptic problems, pregnant women and children under the age of six.
- Do not use around the eyes, mouth or other sensitive areas of the body.
- Do not use the device with wet hands or on wet parts.
- Do not use after the application of insect-repellents or liquid or gaseous flammable substances or otherwise near them.
- In order not to encourage possible transmission of infection, strictly personal use of the product is recommended; disinfect regularly with appropriate products, and in the case of use on more than one person.
- Using the device in the absence of a bite or sting makes the perceived effect of the electrical pulse greater than normal.
- Keep out of reach of children and people with reduced motor or sensory capabilities.
- Ecosave is a medical device. Do not use as a toy or as a tool for offense or self-defense.
